Genluminati a Novel

Genluminati is a novel I began writing during my postdoc in Boston, tucked in between experiments, reading papers, family, and kids, and opening my own lab. This project slowly blossomed into the book I am so proud to share today in both Spanish and English.

The story follows a group of friends who meet while studying biology in Boston. As a social experiment, they decide to invent a religion based on reading their own genes to achieve "illumination," interpreting a specific sequence for every occasion. It delves into their parallel lives, balancing the rigor of PhD research with the secrets of their expanding cult, and captures the moral and ethical dilemmas that unfold when things get out of control.
